Brotherhood Gathering

We cordially summon every able-bodied man to convene again on July 20th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Doxa Church. Join us for a time of fellowship, harmonizing voices in the singing of hymns, lifting honest prayers of supplications to the ear of the Lord, and delving deep into the wellspring of eternal wisdom found in Sacred Scripture for the glory of the Lord and the good of others.

This time that we are setting aside to be still and bring our intersessions and supplications before the Lord is important to us at Doxa in fulfilling our mission to help people behold, obey and be transformed by the gospel. The Brotherhood Gathering

The Brotherhood stands tall as a bulwark of virtue and honor, a refuge where men find solace, fortitude, and the clarion call to fulfill the divine mandate as leaders, protectors, and providers for the glory of the King. With unwavering resolve, we aspire to nurture legions of men who wield the sword not out of aggression, but for the defense of the vulnerable, flaunting the righteousness of the Kingdom against darkness which ever threatens to engulf.

For this reason, we cordially summon every able-bodied man to convene on June 8th from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. at Doxa Church. Join us for a time of fellowship, harmonizing voices in the singing of hymns, lifting honest prayers of supplications to the ear of the Lord, and delving deep into the wellspring of eternal wisdom found in Sacred Scripture for the glory of the Lord and the good of others.

Payment
There is a registration fee of $5.00/ person to help cover the cost of the breakfast provided.

Child Dedication

As a local church, we desire to come alongside you as you steward the lives of your children. One way we do this is through Child Dedication. We believe that Child Dedication is a covenant between God and His church and His church and parents to equip and disciple children. 

Doxa Church is honored to partner with parents through a Child Dedication Gathering on September 24th at 9:30 AM. We will celebrate our most precious gift and inheritance from the Lord, our children, on this special day.

We believe part of accomplishing our mission of helping others behold, obey, and be transformed by the Gospel takes place as we "scatter" each week throughout Clay County to form Biblical communities; we call them Doxa Communities. 

Our Doxa Communities aren't just small groups that foster relationships, champion justice initiatives, or function as theological clubs. Rather, they are communities of people who covenant together to live as families of disciples on mission. 

As we are preparing to launch Doxa Communities this fall, take a few minutes to watch one family’s story about how being apart of a Community group has been special for them.

Make War: A Disciples Primer on Mortification & Vivification [Men's Intensive]

The Christian life is often compared to a war, and this idea can make many people uncomfortable. Pastor John Piper has faced criticism for his emphasis on this concept within his ministry, as many prefer softer and safer language. However, a closer examination of the New Testament, particularly the teachings of the apostle Paul, challenges this perspective. Paul urged the church to actively "put to death the deeds" of the flesh and body. As the famous Puritan pastor and theologian John Owen once said, "Kill sin or sin will be killing you." 

It is essential for Christians to engage in this battle against sin. Each day, between the "already" and "not yet" of a Christian's salvation, is lived on a spiritual battlefield. While most Christians acknowledge their sinful nature, many struggle to effectively combat sin. They lack the knowledge and understanding of how to truly overcome and break free from the patterns of sin in their lives.

In this Men's Intensive, we will explore what it means for a disciple to engage in the battle against their own sin. Join us for 11 weeks of intensive training on the principles of mortification and vivification.

Mission Trip Interest Gathering

Our partners at 6:8 Ministries have a mission to actively pursue life change through living out the Gospel and ministering to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in the community of Alajuelita, Costa Rica. Working alongside local organizations, this team will get the opportunity to minister to the local people through feeding programs, light construction projects, neighborhood children’s ministry, elementary school visits, and building relationships through visiting the elderly at a local senior center. Join us as we partner with 6:8 Ministries to strengthen the local church through an increased presence in the community and expand God’s kingdom by demonstrating His love for those in need.
