Serve Opportunities

We are just weeks away from celebrating Easter Sunday as a local church. In an effort to prepare, we have several serve projects to be completed in the month of March and first week of April. If you would like to be generous with your time to serve Doxa please sign up below.

Project 1

Courtyard Fence (estimated 2-3 people, 1-3 hours)
The fencing around the courtyard in the back of the building is partially stained and help is needed in order to finish it. There will be 2 spray guns available for use and all other materials will be readily available.

Project 2

Weeds (minimum 4 people, 3-4 hours)
The weeds around Doxa have overgrown in various spots, including the jasmine beds and rock beds in the front of the building. This project will include manually removing the existing weeds and laying down a barrier to prevent (or slow down) reemergence. Volunteers need to bring gardening gloves with them and sunscreen or bug spray, if desired.

Project 3

Video Transfer (estimated 1 person)
Every video Doxa has ever recorded and shared is currently located on Vimeo, a video sharing platform. The goal of this project is to transition all of Doxa’s previous videos from Vimeo to the more popular platform YouTube. The process is fairly simple but it could be a couple hours of work to get everything transferred.
