Doxa Updates: December

“The Lord has done great things for us;

we are glad.” - Psalm 126:3

God's work is never unimpressive. The Scriptures are the classroom to teach us this. From Genesis to Revelation, the great Triune God works masterfully and convincingly to show there is none like Him (Psalm 86:8). This past Sunday was a perfect example. For us to celebrate baptisms at this stage in our young church plant, is to behold that the Lord has done great things for us. I'm incredibly grateful God would grant us this gift and all the more eager to behold His work in 2019.

As we inch closer to 2019, we anticipate our public launch. For that reason, December for Doxa will be a month of preparation. Our time in December leading up to our planned launch on January 13th will be focused on developing Serve Teams.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen” - 1 Peter 4:10-11

Serve Teams play an essential role in accomplishing our mission. It's our opportunity to steward the gifts God has given us for the good of others, His glory, and our joy (1 Peter 4:10-11). If you haven't already done so, please check out our Serve Teams and fill out the form to serve.

Serve Team Rallies

  • Doxa Kids - Sunday, December 9th at 10 am

  • Utility Team - Sunday, December 16th at 10 am

  • Guest Services Team - Sunday, December 30th at 10 am

If you have let us know which team you want to serve on, we will be in touch to share the location and details as your team rally approaches.

With all our energy focused on the launch, this signals the conclusion of our Culture Gatherings on Sunday afternoons. I want to thank Pastor David Tarkington and First Baptist Orange Park for allowing us to utilize their facilities. For nine months, they provided us a place to conceive our church. I appreciate their love for the Gospel and church-planting. May the Lord continue to be honored in their obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Praying for your families and asking the Lord to do more great things in the life of Doxa Church in 2019! Thank you for allowing me to pastor you!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Pastor Jeth
